Diana over at Enthusiastic Indie Reader tagged me to play the book edition of “Would You Rather”… so I’m going to give it a shot! And be sure to pop over to her blog for some great book reviews!
Would you rather only read trilogies or only read stand-alones? I’d rather read a trilogy if it’s already completed, but otherwise a stand-alone. I’m too impatient to wait for the next book in a series that I love to come out!
Would you rather only read male or female authors? Given that many authors in the romance genre write under pen names or use their initials to disguise their gender, I honestly don’t know how I’d be able to decide this.
Would you rather shop at Barnes and Noble or Amazon? Hmm… well, shopping at B&N means being in a physical book store, getting to smell the paper and glue, and getting to support a bookstore. Amazon is definitely more convenient though, especially as I’m rather isolated from the rest of the world because of my job. I’d say Amazon for price and convenience, but I try to buy directly from the publisher when I can, or an Indie bookstore when I can’t!
Would you rather books were made into TV shows or movies? Television shows, for sure! Books can’t be easily summarized in a 2-3 hour movie.
Would you rather read only 5 pages per day or 5 books per week? I’m currently averaging about 5 full-length novels per week. Ah, the joys of having a job with LOTS of free time!
Would you rather be a professional author or reviewer? A professional author. There are so many stories in my head that I wish I could share. Someday, maybe!
Only read your top 20 favorite books over and over or always read new ones that you haven’t read before? New ones, because how else will you discover new books to add to the favorites list?
Would you rather be a librarian or a bookseller? A bookseller, so I can have my own little shop and spend hours talking to customers about books, and have cats wandering the shelves. The cats are very important here, by the way.
Would you rather read only your favorite genre, or every other genre but your favorite? I’m lucky that my favorite genre (romance) overlaps pretty regularly with other genres. Fantasy-romance, sci fi-romance, historical-romance, we’ve got ’em all! So I’d rather read my favorite genre.
Wow, that was harder than I expected. Decisions, decisions. And now I have to decide who to tag next? Oh man, I’m going to be a wimp and just say, “anyone who wants to!” because I’m all decisioned-out.
Would you rather only read ebooks or physical books?
