summary

Daniel and Ryan have fallen into a routine, carefully keeping work and play separate. In the office, they’re co-workers, people who sometimes meet in the break room, but in the bedroom they’re different. Daniel likes being someone different. He likes being Ryan’s Daniel for a little bit every night.

All I can say is I wanted more. This is turning out to be the slowest burn romance ever. Still entirely from Daniel’s point of view, the story is progressing away from the sexual activity into something that sort of resembles, if not a romantic relationship, at least a friendship. What worked for me is that the two are spending more *cough* time together. They have an interesting method for unwinding after a hard day at work.

My biggest problem in the nonsexual relationship is more tell than show. We learn the two have started texting, we are given a brief example, but told it goes on for hours. Daniel cannot get over the hurdle of things and people needing to be in certain boxes, and Ryan is not yet in a box that allows Daniel to communicate with him about things that are not part of their sexual relationship. Ryan I believe wants more… but who knows since I cannot get his POV (hahaha).

I think when all is said and done, while I do intend to finish the series, I wish I had waited until it was fully released and read it in entirety. These small snippets being released may end up building more frustration, and I’m worried the end will be anticlimactic.

more-from-author

Tamryn studied English and Creative Writing in school but has been writing since she could first hold a pencil. Recently, she’s turned her focus towards writing erotica. She enjoys writing stories where sex comes first, then feelings, because doing things out of order can be fun.

Tamryn has spent the past few months writing the Daniel and Ryan series with a lovely view of mountains out her window, and she’s now searching for a new mountain range to serve as her backdrop as she begins her next project.
