Positive Reinforcement, by Tamryn Eradani
Series: Daniel and Ryan, Book Four
Publisher: NineStar Press
Release Date: May 1, 2017
It’s Hell Week at work, which means Daniel hasn’t seen Ryan in what feels like too long. A quiet weekend in is exactly what they need, and Daniel strives to make sure he’s exactly what Ryan needs.
This might be my favorite of the series so far. Ryan is unavailable to spend time with Daniel due to what the two refer to as “hell week” at work. Apparently it’s a week spend in a marketing meeting that doesn’t go well. The week apart gives Daniel time to reflect on how much he’s gotten used to having Ryan available. He’s a bit surprised to realize that he’s come to see their texts and brief time during the work week as part of his schedule and feels off without it.
Finally, FINALLY, the two are reunited on Friday and let me just say they spent their time wisely. I think both realize, Ryan verbalizes while Daniel is more internalized (relying on actions) to convey that this may have moved passed their initial “arrangement” to something closer to an actual relationship where feelings are involved. While I don’t feel like all my wishes/dreams have come true, I did get a glimpse into how Ryan feels about the relationship so that made me happy.
I also found Daniel to be more likeable, less controlling as he’d come off in previous books. He’s still himself but there was something about his internalized desire to take care of Ryan outside of their arrangement that was very sweet to me.
*sigh* I still hope one of these shorts will be from Ryan’s perspective though.
Tamryn studied English and Creative Writing in school but has been writing since she could first hold a pencil. Recently, she’s turned her focus towards writing erotica. She enjoys writing stories where sex comes first, then feelings, because doing things out of order can be fun.
Tamryn has spent the past few months writing the Daniel and Ryan series with a lovely view of mountains out her window, and she’s now searching for a new mountain range to serve as her backdrop as she begins her next project.
