Oh how I waited for this to come out! FINALLY!!!!

This series has really been a case study in delayed gratification for me. As previously mentioned, I have been DYING for Ryan’s POV, and while we didn’t exactly get that we have gotten verbal confirmation from Ryan about his feelings on where the relationship with he and Daniel is going.

Without giving much away, the book is broken into two parts. The first is the week before the spa weekend Daniel invited Ryan to in the last book. The spa is Daniel’s ultimate reward to himself, and though he’s been going for years he has never invited anyone. Not only has he never invited anyone, we find out from his assistant that he’s gone a step further and actually refused to tell anyone where it is (so much for a referral for excellent service).

Ryan… oh Ryan, I adore you. The Sunday the week before the Spa weekend, Ryan makes a little request of Daniel that is so perfect and sets the stage for a truly epic weekend. I don’t know how I didn’t see it coming. Not only does it make for a memorable week, I think it sets the stage for the spa to be more intimate for the two of them then Daniel may have originally allowed.

There are also these little moments between the two of them that killed me. If I was a girl that swooned, I would have been doing so in response to the parking garage scene. Also the descriptions of Daniel  taking notice of Ryan’s non-verbal responses to things Daniel does, in my mind, really illustrated that the two were in a romantic relationship. The whole “actions speak louder than words” motto really applies to these two.

I don’t want to give anything away, because obviously with it being a mere 45 pages I want you to enjoy the surprise. So why only 4 stars, you might be asking? The issue is, when the book ends there’s no indication there will be another one, and yet the story didn’t feel complete to me.

Tamryn studied English and Creative Writing in school but has been writing since she could first hold a pencil. Recently, she’s turned her focus towards writing erotica. She enjoys writing stories where sex comes first, then feelings, because doing things out of order can be fun.

Tamryn has spent the past few months writing the Daniel and Ryan series with a lovely view of mountains out her window, and she’s now searching for a new mountain range to serve as her backdrop as she begins her next project.

  1. […]we have gotten verbal confirmation from Ryan about his feelings on where the relationship with he and Daniel is going.

    YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!

    Unlike you, I did feel like this story had an end point. Yet, at the same time, I was left wishing we could’ve gotten more scenes (whether sex or not). Ryan and Daniel’s journey is a real delight.

    Despite my grumbling about the length of each published novella, I can’t deny that the author packs A LOT of emotion in each entry. #AndnowIshallwaituntilBook7 ;___;

    • So good. Well luckily I’ve since seen that there is another short due out next month. Thankfully cause I was going to have to write some terse fan mail with lots of demands. Luckily it hasn’t come to all that. I agree with you that I felt like their actual on page time together was less than I would have liked but I feel like that’s typically how it goes with those two. Book 5 gave us a whole weekend full and I’m sure the author doesn’t want to spoil us. I’m now impatiently waiting for August.
